State Central Library In Thiruvananthapuram
The State Central Library building is standing in Palayam, Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), Kerala, India. Originally named the Victoria Diamond Jubilee Library, this structure was completed in 1900. It is built in the distinctive Trivandrum-Gothic style, featuring red brick and white stone similar to that of other public buildings from the same era, such as the Napier Museum and Victoria Town Hall. The library's collection, which dates back to 1829, was established by the Maharajah of Travancore, the ruler of what is now known as Kerala, and it is one of the oldest libraries in India.
