Jabodebek LRT Train Declared As National Vital Object

Cars of the LRT train are approaching the Dukuh Atas bridge in Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 29, 2024. The Ministry of Transportation is declaring the light rail transit (LRT) train system, which connects the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodebek) regions, as one of Indonesia's national vital objects. The Public Relations Manager of the Jabodebek LRT, Mahendro Trang Bawono, is stating in Jakarta on Monday that the process of declaring the train system as a national vital object has been underway since October 2023. He is remarking that the Jabodebek LRT does not merely impact the lives of its passengers, as its contribution to the development of Indonesia spans across the economic, social, and cultural fields.
