Nepali devotees are carrying the palanquin hosting Nepal's Red God, Rato Macchindranath, as the deity is being carried to Machhindra Bahal in Patan, Nepal, on January 31, 2024. Also known as ''Bunga Dugh'' in Newa, which means the God of Rain and Harvest, Rato Macchindranath resides in Bungmati for six months and then migrates to Patan for the remaining six months of the year.
