Police-Involved Shooting Wounds Suspects Near Historic Home Of Frederick Douglass
Chief of Police of the Metropolitan Police Department Pamela A. Smith is updating the media on the police-involved shooting that occurred on Friday evening. The police are shooting at a suspect in a police-involved incident in Washington, D.C., United States, on February 9, 2024. The police were patrolling the area of Bangor Street, Southeast, when they attempted to make contact with a suspect in the alley of an apartment complex. The male suspect ran from the police, pulled out a firearm, and began firing multiple times towards them. The authorities returned fire, wounding the male suspect. The suspect has been transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition, suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
