Nine Month Long Nawadurga Festival Celebrated In Bhaktapur

Nepalese Hindu devotees are participating in a rolling procession around the Hanumante River during the month-long Madhav Narayan Festival, also known as the Swasthani Brata Katha festival, in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The festival is dedicated to God Madhav Narayan and Goddess Swasthani, and during this time, Hindu devotees are recreating and reciting folk tales about miraculous feats performed by these deities.
