Performance To Urge The Cessation Of Coal And Fossil Fuel Insurance

Activists from organizations like Climate Solution, Gyeongnam Environmental Movement Union, and Chungnam Environmental Movement Union are performing on the stairs of Sejong Cultural Center in Seoul, South Korea, on February 29, 2024. They are demanding that global insurance companies, including Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, and Tokio Marine, enhance their policies on withdrawing from fossil fuels. This performance is part of the World Action Week, which is organized by a coalition of more than 29 climate and environmental groups, such as Climate Solution, Greenpeace, and Urgewald, under the banner of Insure Our Future. The World Action Week, running until March 3rd, is witnessing various actions that reflect the local issues and cultures in places like New York, Paris, Tokyo, Indonesia, Pakistan, Peru, and Nigeria.
