Major Trade Union Rally In Tunis

Hundreds of demonstrators are attending a rally staged by the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) at the Kasbah square near the Government Presidency building in Tunis, Tunisia, on March 2, 2024. The rally is being held by hundreds of trade unionists and public sector workers who are demanding the protection of social dialogue, union rights, and the implementation of social agreements and conventions signed with the Tunisian government. The trade unionists are also calling for a National Dialogue and protesting against the decreasing purchasing power and the general political and economic crises in Tunisia.
