Press Conference On The Status Of Female Migrant Workers

Members of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), including those from the Public Services and Transport Workers' Union's Social Welfare Department, are holding a press conference in front of the Government Complex in Seoul, South Korea, on March 8, 2024, to announce the results of a survey on the working conditions of female migrant workers. The union conducted a survey of 233 female migrant workers employed as interpreters, translators, and bilingual coaches at family centers and multicultural family support centers from the 8th to the 29th of the previous month. The results show that 82.0% (191 respondents) are reporting not receiving wages according to the salary scale. (Photo by Chris Jung/NurPhoto)
