Tawur Kesanga Ritual Ahead Nyepi Celebration
Balinese Hindu priests are sprinkling holy water on worshipers as they participate in the Tawur Kesanga ritual at Parahyangan Agung Pasundan Temple in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on March 10, 2024. During the Tawur Kesanga ritual, Balinese Hindus are worshiping and parading Ogoh-ogoh, effigies that represent demons or bad traits, which will then be burned as a symbol of victory over evil.
