The Full Moon Rises Over Colombo
A full worm moon and a Christian cross are being seen in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on March 25, 2024. According to The Old Farmers' Almanac, which started publishing the names for the full moons in the 1930s, the full moon in March is often called the ''worm moon'' because it is believed that earthworms begin to emerge as the ground thaws from winter.
