National Day Of Strikes And Protest In Public Education Sector

Nearly 6,000 people are demonstrating in Toulouse, France, on April 2, 2024, in a joint protest with all unions, including CGT, SUD, SNES, and UNSA, against the French Prime Minister's policies, which they refer to as the 'shock of knowledges', 'level groups', and the idea of mandatory uniforms up to university level. The banner proclaims 'wages, posts, working conditions, reforms: public education in danger'. All unions have called for a day of strike and protest for better wages and to demand an end to what they describe as the dismantling of the public education service, as well as for additional resources and teachers.
