Protest Of Automotive Workers To Ask For The Relaunch Of The Car In Italy

In Turin, Italy, on April 12, 2024, thousands of workers are gathering in the square to protest against the confusing statements and actions of Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares. This demonstration, organized by major Italian trade unions, is taking place at a symbolic location in the Italian automotive industry. City and regional authorities are also attending the protest in solidarity with the workers. All the unions are striking together to demand work and the relaunch of automotive production at the Mirafiori factory. The Mirafiori Factory serves as the headquarters and industrial district of the Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat, a subsidiary of FCA Italy, which is part of Stellantis, and is also the headquarters of the CNH Industrial Group.
