West Lake Longjing Tea Planted on The Roof in Hangzhou

An aerial photo is showing West Lake Longjing tea being planted on the roof of buildings in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, on April 21, 2024. It is understood that over 6000 square meters of West Lake Longjing tea are being planted on the roofs of 11 high-rise buildings in Tianmuli, Hangzhou. This initiative is blocking the sun in summer, thereby reducing the buildings' energy consumption and carbon emissions, and is becoming a demonstration project of Hangzhou's roof greening.
