Animal Rights Activists Protest Against Against The Exploitation Of Animals In Circuses
A group of animal rights activists is holding a demonstration in front of a circus in Turin, Italy, on April 27, 2024, to urge the Italian government to permanently end the exploitation of animals in circuses. Animalisti Italiani Onlus estimates that around 2,000 animals are still being used in Italian circuses, where they are often subjected to physical and psychological violence during training, confined to small spaces and inadequate environments, and forced to perform stressful movements.
