Sky Vegetable Garden in Nanning
In Nanning, China, on April 28, 2024, a primary school is featuring a ''sky vegetable garden + garden'' on its rooftop for teachers and students to experience farming. The rooftop sky garden is becoming popular among the students. They are currently planting a variety of plants in many ''grid plots'' within the garden, including water spinach, eggplant, loofah, and chili. The school has also established a labor education base on the roof where teachers and students are participating in classes. The roof plantation is categorized into two sections: one for flowers and the other for vegetables, melons, and fruits. The planting process they are using is environmentally friendly, and the farming methods are safe. During the labor experience class, the teacher is leading the students in planting vegetables and fruits in the garden, teaching them farming knowledge, and allowing them to experience the joy of harvesting.
