16-year-old Male Victim Shot While Inside Residence In Chicago Illinois

A 16-year-old male victim is being treated for injuries after a shooting in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on May 1, 2024. The victim was sitting near the window inside a residence on Wednesday morning on the 6200 block of S. Vernon when a suspect fired multiple gunshots in the area. He sustained a gunshot wound to the lower back and is being transported to the hospital in good condition. No suspects are currently in custody, and police are investigating the incident.
