ICJ Delivers Order On Nicaragua V Germany Case

Media and journalists are reporting outside the Peace Palace, home of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in The Hague, Netherlands, on April 30, 2024. The ICJ has rejected Nicaragua's request to block Germany from selling weapons to Israel. With a vote of 15 against 1, the judges denied the emergency order that would have directed Germany to cease arms sales to Israel amidst the conflict with Palestinians in Gaza. ICJ President Nawaf Salam stated in the ruling that the current circumstances do not warrant the court's intervention with provisional measures. Meanwhile, a protest in support of Palestine and Nicaragua is taking place outside the Peace Palace. (Photo by ___)
