Toulouse: Action Against The Cutting Of A London Plane Tree

The town hall argues that it is simpler to cut the tree down as its roots are starting to break through the concrete. Trees are known to be effective in combating the urban heat island effect through their shade and evapotranspiration. The inhabitants express their appreciation for the birdsong in the morning and emphasize the tree's importance in cooling the area during the summer and its increasingly frequent heatwaves.
