Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower Appears In The Night Sky.

The Eta Aquarid meteor shower is appearing in the sky in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, on May 5, 2024. This annual event is caused by Earth passing through debris left behind by Halley's Comet. Named after the constellation Aquarius, these meteors are streaking across the sky at high speeds, creating a dazzling display of shooting stars. Best observed in the predawn hours away from city lights, it is a mesmerizing celestial event cherished by skywatchers worldwide. (Photo by Thilina Kaluthotage/NurPhoto)
