Visitors' Coins In Rome's Trevi Fountain Provide Practical Help To Italians

Coins are being collected from the Fountain. Visitors are typically tossing coins into the fountain with their backs turned to it, hoping that they will return to Rome and find love. Nearly EUR1.5 million ($1.7 million) is collected annually from the attraction and is being donated to a Catholic charity to assist the poor and homeless. (Photo by Massimo Valicchia/NurPhoto)
