Flood In Porto Alegre, Brazil
Porto Alegre, Brazil, on May 17, 2024 - The Mayor of Porto Alegre, Sebastiao Melo, is expanding the humanitarian corridor for the passage of emergency vehicles used in flood rescues. He is announcing the opening of the road for passenger vehicles from midnight to five in the morning. The work is connecting the Castelo Branco Highway to the Conceicao Tunnel, one of the main access roads to the municipality. Agents from the Porto Alegre Public Transport and Circulation Company (EPTC) and the Federal Highway Police (PRF) are coordinating the site, and it is operating in both directions.
