A volcanic rock column group is standing in Gulinaobao in Ulanqab city, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, China, on May 18, 2024. The volcanic geological remains of Gulinaobao are basalt hexagonal pillars formed by the cooling and contraction of lava from the Late Oligocene volcanic eruption of the Tertiary period more than 25 million years ago, and they are containing the secrets of the evolution of the earth hundreds of millions of years ago.
