Mass Shooting In Chicago Illinois Wounds Six People, Three People Critical

A mass shooting is wounding six people, with three in critical condition, in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on May 18, 2024. At approximately 9:59 p.m. on Saturday evening on the 700 block of S. Albany Ave., a group of males is hanging out on the street when an unknown number of suspects is firing shots from a distance in their direction, striking six male adults. A 23-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the back and face and is being dropped off at the hospital in critical condition. A 21-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the right cheek and is being dropped off at the hospital in critical condition. A 27-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the back and two gunshot wounds to the left ankle and is being dropped off at the hospital in critical condition. A 39-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the right leg and is being transported to the hospital in good condition. A 33-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the right leg and is being transported to the hospital in good condition.
