Baya Weaver Birds Build Nests In Nepal
A Baya Weaver is weaving its nest on the branches of a tree in Kathmandu, Nepal, on May 25, 2024. Heat-shield, stringent security, along with the architectural skill to round up the hay and grasses to build the nest, these twittering birds are found across the Indian Sub-continent. The dawn of the monsoon season is the period of mating for the sculptural bird when the male is getting busy with the weaving of the nest, which should not fall during fierce rain and winds, along with a cooling system and out-of-reach of predators. The female Baya Weaver is inspecting the nests and accepting the male's advances by inspecting the woven nest, and then the nest is being built further by the male with the couple living there and breeding in the coming days. Weaver birds have a dull yellow color with black markings and look like sparrows at a glance, but with the approaching breeding season, the males are growing brighter in color with the yellow and black markings glowing over. As the bird is going around making the nest to impress its opposite sex, the chirps made by the bird are driving people living around the locality back to their homes.
