Protest Rally Calling For Special Prosecutor For Private Chae In Seoul
Marine Corps veterans are holding placards and chanting slogans at a rally on Sejong-daero in Seoul, South Korea, on May 25, 2024, calling for the passage of the Private Chae Special Prosecutor Act and condemning its veto. The rally, organized by National Emergency Action to Reject the Veto and supported by seven opposition parties, is seeing tens of thousands of participants and is taking place at 3 PM in front of Seoul Station. This protest, the first since President Yoon's veto on May 21, is aiming to pressure the government and ruling party ahead of the National Assembly's vote on May 28. (Photo by Chris Jung/NurPhoto)
