Nepal Opposition Hit Street Demanding Resignation Of Home Minister Over Cooperative Frauds

Hari Prabha Khadgi (hands raised), a member of the Provincial Assembly from Nepali Congress, the largest party in the Nepal parliament and the major opposition in the House of Representatives, is chanting slogans as she is leading a group of protestors hitting the street demanding the resignation of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in Nepal, on May 26, 2024. The Congress is demanding the formation of a parliamentary investigation committee to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative funds, which also involves Home Minister Lamichhane. Home Minister Lamichhane is accused of embezzling a large amount of cooperative funds when he was the managing director of Gorkha Media, and other people are also being accused of their involvement in such misappropriations.
