Shanghai New Property Policy

Historic bungalows and modern urban towers are standing in downtown Shanghai, China, on March 15, 2023. On May 27, 2024, the Shanghai Housing Urban and Rural Construction Management Committee, the Municipal Housing Administration Bureau, the Municipal Planning and Resources Bureau, the Municipal Tax Bureau, and other departments are jointly issuing the ''Notice on Optimizing the Policy Measures for the Stable and Healthy Development of the Real Estate Market in Shanghai.'' They are proposing to adjust and optimize the housing purchase restriction policy, support the reasonable housing demand of families with multiple children, optimize the housing credit policy, support the ''old for new,'' and optimize the supply of land and housing.
