Manhattanhenge New York
A general view of the Manhattanhenge at 42nd Street in Manhattan, New York, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. This phenomenon is occurring due to the east-west arrangement of the streets of Manhattan, where at sunset, the sun is aligning with the streets of New York, completely illuminating all the streets of Manhattan from west to east. The next occurrence is happening on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 8:20 P.M. EDT (Full Sun) and Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 8:21 P.M. EDT (Half Sun). The phenomenon is visible for two consecutive days: on the first day, the sun is resting entirely on the horizon (Full Sun), and on the second day, the horizon is cutting the sun so that only half of it is visible (Half Sun).
