The city of Ezbet El-Borg in Damietta is being renowned globally in the fields of fishing and shipbuilding. It is possessing 60% of the Egyptian fishing fleet and is housing the largest ship and yacht building yard. It is also hosting the most important and famous fish market in Damietta Governorate, which is attracting fish traders from across the governorate and neighboring regions. The market is starting daily from after dawn prayer until eight in the morning and is famous for offering the most famous types of fish.
