Three Suspects And Victim Are All In Critical Condition In Assault And Shooting In Chicago Illinois

Three suspects and one victim are all in critical condition after the victim is assaulted and fires his gun in apparent self-defense in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on May 31, 2024. A 43-year-old male victim is in front of his residence at approximately 11:23 p.m., Friday evening on the 4700 block of W. Wrightwood when a verbal altercation ensues with three known males who then begin attacking the victim. The victim shows a handgun and fires at the suspects, striking them all. Suspect number one, a 29-year-old male, sustains five gunshot wounds to the torso and is transported to the hospital in critical condition. Suspect number two, a 22-year-old, sustains a gunshot wound to the chest and is transported to the hospital in critical condition. Suspect number three, a 55-year-old, sustains a gunshot wound to the neck and is transported to the hospital in critical condition. The 43-year-old male victim sustains blunt force trauma to the head and body and is transported to the hospital in critical condition.
