A 39-year-old male is being shot in the head and is in critical condition in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 3, 2024. On Monday morning, at approximately 2:06 a.m. on the 1900 block of W. 21st St., a 39-year-old male victim is driving eastbound in the alley at the above location when an unknown suspect is opening fire. The victim is sustaining a gunshot wound to the head and then is striking a pole. The victim is being transported to the hospital and is in critical condition. No other injuries are being reported and there are no suspects in custody at this time. A vehicle is being seen at the crime scene with blood on it and shattered glass.
