Animal India - Funambulus Pennantii

Three Wild Baby Northern Palm Squirrels Or Five-striped Palm Squirrels (Funambulus Pennantii) Were Sitting On The Wall And Eating Rice When An Adult Palm Squirrel Came And Chased Them And Started Eating Rice Alone. But The Children Try To Eat The Rice By Doing Various Tricks. Then The Big Squirrel Started Making Funny Facial Expressions And Making Noises. Northern Palm Squirrels Are Similar In Size To Rats, Between 22 To 40cm In Length (including Tail). They Weigh Between 60 To 200g. Their Fur Is Grey-brown And Their Belly Fur Is Creamy-white Or Brownish. They Have Whitish Stripes On Their Back And A Dark Bushy Tail Covered With Long Black And White Hairs. In Some Countries, This Squirrel Is Considered An Exotic Pest Animal Species. This Photo Was Taken At Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on june 10, 2024. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
