Farmers in the Jabal Al-Zawiya area of the Idlib countryside have begun harvesting the mahaleb plant, which is used in the food industry as well as in the production of cosmetics and medicine. Despite significant efforts, these farmers have been facing low prices for mahaleb in recent years due to conflicts in Sudan, the main importer of this crop from northern Syria.
