Siti Na:kha Festival Celebrated By Newari People In Nepal
A Nepalese man from the Newar community is getting underneath a water well to clean it as part of the celebrations of the Sithi Nakha festival near Dattatreya Square in Bhaktapur, Nepal. On this day, the people are worshipping the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati, Kartikeya or Kumar, and ancient history also believes that cleaning the nearby water resources has great cultural importance in the Newar community as a symbol to hail the Gods.
