Eid Al-Adha (Feast Of The Sacrifice) And Father's Day In Mexico City

Members of the Muslim community in Mexico City, Mexico, are praying inside the facilities of the Plan Sexenal on the occasion of the celebration of Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice). According to the practice, this celebration has its origin in the moment when God appeared in a dream to Abraham, known as Ibrahim by Muslims, and asked him to sacrifice his son to demonstrate his loyalty. According to the Qur'an - the holy religious book of Islam - just as Ibrahim is about to sacrifice his son, God replaces Ismail with a lamb, which is sacrificed in his place.
