Two People Shot, One Dead In Chicago Illinois Father's Day Shooting Which Follows A Separate Shooting In The Same Area

Chicago police are investigating the fatal shooting that is critically injuring one person and killing another on Father's Day. Two people are being shot, with one person being shot multiple times and killed in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 16, 2024. At approximately 3:17 p.m., Sunday afternoon on the 11500 block of S. LaSalle St., a 34-year-old male victim and a 59-year-old male victim are being approached by at least one unknown suspect who is showing a firearm and firing shots in the direction of the victims. The 34-year-old male victim is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and is being transported to the hospital where he is being pronounced dead. The 59-year-old male victim is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and is being transported to the hospital in serious condition. There are no suspects in custody and Chicago police are investigating. This is following another fatal shooting that is taking place in the same area, Father's Day morning at 2:32 a.m., where an unidentified male approximately 35 to 40 years of age is being shot several times and killed barbarically in an alley, and in that shooting, no suspects are in custody either.
