Beijing-Hangzhou Canal Water Level Dropped

Ships are being stranded at the upper reaches of the Huai 'an Ship Lock on the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal in Huai 'an city, Jiangsu province, China, on June 18, 2024. It is being reported that since mid-June, due to the summer high temperature, agricultural water use, and water diversion departments, among other factors, the downstream water level of the Huaian lock of the northern Jiangsu Canal is in a ''low water level'' state.
