Toulouse: First Round Of The Legisltaive Elections
A voter is holding her ID, her voter's card, and her ballot paper. More than 49 million voters are being called to the ballot box. At noon, the participation level is at 25.9%, up 7% compared to the last legislative elections in 2022. It is the highest rate since the 1981 legislative elections. The number of proxy votes is also nearing an all-time high at more than 2 million. The left and the far-left are unionizing in a new umbrella called 'Front Populaire' (i.e., 'Popular Front').
