Abandoned gas stations in Catalonia
In the last ten years, more than 100 gas stations are being abandoned in Catalonia. The province of Barcelona is where the most are closing, almost 50, followed by Girona, Tarragona, and Lleida. On Catalan roads, it is quite common to see abandoned gas stations, such as the one on the C-1412b road, which has been closed for more than twenty years and the pumps are specifying the price in the old Spanish currency, the peseta. The gas station is in the Lleida town of Artesa de Segre, Spain, on June 25, 2024. (Photo by Joan Valls/Urbanandsport /NurPhoto) (Photo by Urbanandsport/NurPhoto)
