However, this year, planning a beach holiday is proving to be quite a challenge due to the price increases that are affecting not only Italy but also many other European destinations. The pandemic is greatly affecting the tourism sector, forcing many facilities to temporarily close or reduce their services. Now, with the resumption of activities, rates are being raised to try to recover the losses incurred in recent years. In this context of generalized price increases, Salento, one of the pearls of Italian tourism, is no exception. Although renowned for its picture-postcard beaches and crystal-clear sea, the Salento is experiencing a period of significant increases in the cost of beach services.
