Daily Life At Sambranikodi Island

Mangrove roots are being seen along Sambranikodi Island in Kerala, India, on April 06, 2024. Sambranikodi Island is being situated at the southern tip of the Ashtamudi Lake in the Ashtamudi backwaters, approximately 10 kilometers away from the main city of Kollam. It is being believed that during ancient times, small ships from China are anchoring along this coast. Local people are referring to these ships as 'chambrani' and later the place is coming to be known as Sambranikodi. Currently, Sambranikodi is being one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Kollam district. It is offering a breathtaking view of waterways fringed by lush mangroves.
