Palestine International Solidarity Peaceful Rally
In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on August 3, 2024, pro-Palestine demonstrators are taking part in a march proceeding around Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur City Centre during the Palestine International Solidarity peaceful rally. This week is seeing an escalation in Israel's war against Palestine with the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. Demonstrators are also gathering to show their solidarity with the people of Palestine. Muslim people in Malaysia are performing absentee funeral prayers following the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh by Israel at the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. Hamas is announcing early Wednesday that Haniyeh, who is also its political bureau chief, is killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting his residence in the Iranian capital, Tehran, according to international media reports.
