Monsoon Rain Induces Flood In Nepal Affecting Lives
Motorcyclists are driving next to the landslide that came down in Chovar of Kathmandu, Nepal, on August 6, 2024, after incessant rainfall overnight. Nepal's Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) is issuing a red alert in over three dozen districts which are likely to be highly affected. Currently, Nepal is experiencing the influence of a westerly low-pressure system combined with local winds. (Photo by Subaas Shrestha/NurPhoto)
