Dunhuang 100 MW Molten Salt Tower Solar Thermal Power Station
A general view of the first voyage of the High-tech Dunhuang 100 MW molten salt tower solar thermal power station located on the Gobi Desert in Dunhuang, Gansu province, China, on August 4, 2024. At this time, the heat-absorbing tower is shining on the Gobi Desert, and more than 12,000 heliostats in the power station are transmitting heat to the 260-meter-high heat-absorbing tower around the concentric circle. The strong light emitted by the heat-absorbing tower can be seen dozens of kilometers away. This project is currently China's largest scale and highest heat-absorbing tower, capable of 24-hour continuous generation of 100 megawatts of molten salt tower solar thermal power.
