A layer of pollution is covering the sky in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on the morning of Monday, August 19, 2024. After two weeks of intense cold, Sao Paulo is expecting days of extreme heat due to the arrival of a heat wave. Since Friday, the 16th, the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) is placing a large part of the state on alert due to high temperatures.
