Super Blue Moon
Several people are observing the blue moon phenomenon from one of the walkways near the Vasco da Gama bridge in Lisbon, Portugal, on August 19, 2024. The blue moon, which owes its name to the second full moon occurring during the same month of the Gregorian calendar, is the first of 2024 and has the special feature that it is orbiting almost 22 thousand kilometers closer to the Earth.
