White House 'Champions of Change'

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, April 14, in the South Court Auditorium of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Vice President Joe Biden honors "Champion of Change" Meghan Yap, a senior at the University of California San Diego. Meghan was first exposed to the effects of sexual and domestic violence while rendering care as an emergency medical technician in Los Angeles. Following her own experience of campus sexual assault, Meghan made it her personal and professional mission to improve the lives of survivors through research and activism. Meghan is developing policy and best practice recommendations for the university to address sexual violence. (Photo by Cheriss May/NurPhoto)
