Cases Of Dengue Starts To Rise In Nepal
People stand in a queue to take tickets for check-up at the counter of Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal, on September 24, 2024, as the national capital witnesses a surge in infection. Nepal since January this year records more than 11,545 cases of infection. The Gandaki Province alone records 5,482 cases, while Bagmati, hosting the capital Kathmandu, records 3,178 cases. Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by female Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes.
