Tree Trunk Spider (Hersiliidae) - Animal India

A Tree Trunk Spider (Hersiliidae) created cocoons and mimicked the white part of a wall inside a house with orange walls while hunting a bug in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on 24th September 2024. These spiders are known for their two prominent spinnerets, which are almost as long as their abdomen, giving them the nickname ''two-tailed spiders.'' (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
