Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) appears in the sky over Molfetta, Italy, on September 28, 2024, before dawn around 6:00 AM. On September 27, 2024, comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) reaches perihelion, the point of maximum approach to the Sun. Comet C/2023 A3 is discovered on January 9, 2023, by the Purple Mountain Observatory in China and independently detected by the ATLAS tracking system in South Africa on February 22, 2023. This comet attracts the attention of the scientific community due to its orbital characteristics and potential high luminosity, classifying it as a possible Great Comet.
